Faith and Football Week #4  –  Fear

🏈🏈🏈🏈
WoW Football is getting more and more competitive and REAL as we get into Week 4 of Faith & Football!

This week will be all about the four letter word called “Fear”

Fun Fact: Did you know that in those early days of football touchdowns were worth four points, while field goals were worth five? Nothing to worry about – As for some teams, kickers are still the highest scorers.

🏈🏈🏈🏈
If you’re  reading this, you have probably felt fear at one time or another.  Somewhere along the way you learned to fear.
Did you know that babies are born without fear? They learn fear through experience.  Fear is a learned response. The scripture bears witness to the fact that fear is learned.  II Timothy 1.7 teaches us that God did not give us a spirit of fear. Fear is not given by God and is not from God.
Someone said fear is nothing more than False Evidence Appearing Real. It is a true fact that what God gave us is true, and since God did not give us fear, fear must be false evidence from a false source.
What God DID give us is power, love and a sound mind!
HE gave us power over fear.
HE gave us love which dispels fear.
HE gave us a sound mind which is free from fear.
Next time fear knocks at your door, you declare, “fear, you are not from God, therefore, I do not receive you. You are false, from a false source.  I have power over you and I walk in love.  Get out and go back where you came from.  I have a sound mind, free from fear!”
Amen!

Faith and Football Week #3  –  Obedience

🏈🏈🏈🏈

On this past Sunday we learned that several quarterbacks will not be able to play on today. Some will be out for weeks! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

Full Post can be found at https://bit.ly/2mtEubW

Fun Fact: Did you know that Six teams in the NFL don’t employ cheerleaders: the Bears, the Browns, the Lions, the Giants, the Steelers, and the Packers

🏈🏈🏈🏈
In Luke 5:4
Jesus had just finished speaking to a crowd of people. He had borrowed a boat to launch out into the water so that he could teach the people who were on the shore, for it was a big crowd of people. So when he finished speaking, he told Simon Peter to push the boat out further into the deep water, and that he and his Partners should let their Nets down for a catch.

Sometimes Jesus gives us a mid-course correction. Of course Simon was very confident in his skills and implied to Jesus that if they had not caught anything all night up to this point, it was not probable that they would catch anything. Then Simon did a 180-degree change in direction and said, “nevertheless, if you tell me to do it, I’ll do it.” And that’s when the boat sinking blessing came!

🐠🐟🐠🐟🐠🐟🛥🐠🐟🐠🐟🐠🐟
There were so many fish the Nets almost broke.

When the Holy Spirit tells us to do something, we should not trust our judgment, nor our knowledge, nor our expertise, but just trust the Holy Spirit and obey. He has our best interest at heart. Blessing follows obedience!

Look out for the boat sinking blessings to come your way! Expect it!

🏈🏈🏈🏈
On this past Sunday we found out who really came to play football! Some wins, Some losses. If your team lost last week, we hope they win this week.

Fun Fact: Did you know thatThe NFL Pro Bowl has been played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii since 1980 (except 2010 & 2015).

🏈🏈🏈🏈
Today for Faith & Football, let’s talk about PEACE.
Where we are in Monroe, LA sometimes we experience what they call a summer holding pattern. It’s the same weather forecast every day, day after day, no change – just a carbon copy of the day before. But then here comes a weathermaker, which brings rain and some minor flooding. Every so many years something major happens like a weathermaker that comes through and changes the whole way that we live for a while.

Life is like that too! There’s some periods of time in life where yesterday is the same as today. Today is the same as tomorrow. Then one day a lifestorm hits our life. POW!!! However when the storms of life come we can draw on the peace of God.

In Isaiah the 26 chapter God promised to give us perfect peace when we keep our mind stayed on him because we trust in him.
In Isaiah the 57 chapter God says he creates the fruit of our lips and then he says peace to him that is far off and to him that is near and he says he’ll heal us.
And get this – He says he has delivered our soul in peace from the battle that was against us for there were many, Psalms 55.
Remember he is our Shepherd. Psalm 23 says he makes us lie down in Green Pastures and leads Us beside the Still Waters.

We can speak peace to our situation. We can command the storm to cease just like Jesus commanded the storm to cease, when he said, ” peace be still.” And we can expect the same Stillness and quietness that occurred when He spoke those words. We can expect the winds to die down and we can expect the Sea of life to become calm again. Just say, ” peace, be still.”

Thank you Jesus!

We’re talking about why Jesus Christ had to die.

Hebrews 2:14, “For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood; he also himself, likewise, took part in the same that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” The scripture had revealed that without the shedding of blood there is no remission and people were in bondage because of sin to unrighteousness and wickedness and sickness and disease and the curse of poverty and hell was our destiny.

Pastor Donald FranklinAnd Jesus Christ had to die to destroy the devil. And Jesus Christ lived in a physical body and he legally came to the earth to do the will of God which is to destroy the devil. Now through death, Jesus Christ destroyed the devil, you see once death kills death has no authority. Once death kills, death has no more authority. So you see in that 14th verse of Hebrews 2, for as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood he also, himself likewise took part of the same that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil. So you see, the scripture has revealed to us that Jesus Christ has destroyed the devil.

He took away what he had that caused him to be able to legally do anything to you and me. The devil has no legal authority to do anything to you. Fear, is the means of the devil, but since we know the truth, we are not slaves to the devil. See, we been delivered. Because all of our lifetime we were subject to bondage. Thank God for the word of God. Since we know the truth we are not slaves.

The 14th verse of Hebrews 2:14 and also the 15th verse, for as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood he also himself likewise took part in the same that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death that is the devil; and that 15th verse says, and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. We were subject to bondage because of fear, but now we were although we were subject to bondage, we know the truth and the truth makes us free from the bondage; and now we can move on with the rest of our life and reign in life by one Christ Jesus. So, without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Through death, Jesus Christ destroyed the devil.

And because Jesus Christ shed his blood, he took away sin. Now, what do we do now? How do we go forward with the knowledge that God has already done what it takes through Jesus Christ to destroy the devil, and now we are free of the bondage of unrighteousness and wickedness and sickness being able to control us and the curse of poverty because of his blood; And now we have entrance into the kingdom of heaven. What do we do? What are some action steps that we can take?

Well in honor of the blood of Jesus Christ, we act like the bible is true. We finish our course in life with joy! We finish our ministry that we have received of the Lord. Make plans like the devil has no authority to stop you. These ideas and visions and plans and dreams that God put in your heart. Plan those things as if the devil cannot stop you. Every day you strengthen your faith, clarify your vision, affirm your identity, set apart time every day to pray in the fashion of praying through the blood. Say this every day, Dear Jesus, through your blood, all my sins have been forgiven completely; I have been declared a righteous person, the glory of God is mine.

I claim sanctification, I claim the fullness of the Holy Spirit, I claim healing goes through me so I will not get sick. I am a blessed person. I am redeemed from the curse of poverty. Through your death, I died together. Through your blood, I am resurrected together with you and through your ascension, I am ascended to the right hand of God, the Father, right now.

Ephesians 5:21,

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Marriage is a natural relationship, but marriage operates by spiritual laws. Please understand though that marriage is a natural relationship. When a man and a woman is married, the needs and desires of his/her mate is a priority on the Earth. It’s okay to put the natural needs and desires of your mate above everything.

  • Natural affections:
  • Time spent together,
  • Material things,
  • Sexual desires,
  • Intimacy, honor,
  • Submission to one another is good and right.

These are duties and privileges to be enjoyed within the marriage bond. Marriage done right yields an invaluable result. Since marriage operates by spiritual laws. The only way to do it right is by finding out how the creator of marriage intended for it to work and operate the laws that govern marriage.

Number 1, Finding out how the creator of marriage intended for it to work and Number 2 Appropriating the laws that govern marriage. You see, God created marriage and when he created marriage he stated laws by which marriage are to function and any person who understands those laws and will respect those laws have a 100% chance of keeping the intimacy and fulfillment in the marriage. People have a 0% chance for success in marriage if they do not keep those laws. God designed marriage to be the most important priority in our lives next to the Lord Jesus Christ. It only operates at that level of priority. God designed marriage, such that marriage requires work. When you appropriated the laws that govern marriage, your marriage will work and you will enjoy satisfaction and intimacy.

Number 3, God designed marriage such that marriage would be co-ownership and co-administration. Anything that you will not surrender to the ownership and the administration of your mate will interfere with intimacy of your marriage relationship.

Number 4, God designed marriage to operate in an atmosphere of purity. In that atmosphere we can expose ourselves to one another as long as you don’t sin against your mate and when you do sin against him/her you take responsibility for it. Your mate will share ideas and feelings and dreams and their body. When sin entered the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve covered their genitals with figs. Genitals are in an area of the woman and man differences and sensitivity. So, when you are careful how you treat your spouse, you are able to deal with each other’s differences and sensitivity.

You can damage your mate with your mouth when you get angry. The greatest sensitivity of life are exposed in marriage. And when you expose your heart to your mate, of all people in the world, the person who can hurt you the most is your mate. Since we did not create marriage, our own version of how it works will only yield limited short term fulfillment. Also, if a marriage is broken, it can be fixed and restored by returning to the same principles.

God can unscramble scrambled eggs. Feelings follows actions. Marriage relationships can be built that are full of intimacy and fulfillment. This is what we all want and desire. The good news is that this is what our heavenly father has planned for us. Marriage is wonderful. Especially when the Word of God has full authority in our marriage.

The natural relationship of marriage built on scriptural principles bring glory to God; and it makes the marriage partner happy. When storms come, the marriage that is built on the rock won’t fall.

Ephesians 5:22-33,

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

The Word of God not only shows us how to build a good marriage/relationship, but the word of God helps us deal with problems. I talk about dealing with problems in my next blog “About Marriage 2: About Marriage Problems”.

I’m talking today about why Jesus had to die.

Hebrews 2:14 says, “For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood; he also himself, likewise took part in the same that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death (that is the devil) AND deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Scripture says that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission. Sin can’t be cancelled without the shedding of blood.

God always wanted the sin to be taken away and not merely covered up. You see, in the old testament, the Levitical law that was set in the old testament merely allowed for God to treat people like sin was not there for one year. Atonement is an old testament word that means to cover. The high priest would minister his high priestly duties and sprinkle blood of the sacrificial animal on the books and on the people and all the utensils of worship; and then he would proclaim that this is the blood of the testament that God had in treated to the people. And on the day of atonement it was a great day because people were sprinkled with the blood of the animal to cover sin.

Pastor Donald FranklinGod was not satisfied in those offerings, but he did that and said that so that he could eventually let Jesus take sin away. We’re talking about why Jesus Christ had to die. And so Jesus Christ died in order to destroy the devil. You see, because of sin the devil had authority; and mankind was in bondage and slaves and being controlled by unrighteousness. Mankind was being controlled and mankind was a slave to wickedness, sickness, and disease. Controlled people. The curse of poverty was controlling mankind and hell was our destiny. But Jesus Christ died to destroy the devil.

The definition for destroy is to reduce something to nothingness or to take away its power and function so that restoration is impossible. Destroy, demolish, raise, implies reducing a thing to uselessness. So Jesus Christ died and when he died he destroyed the devil. So how did that happen? Christ Jesus, Jesus the Christ lived in a physical body when he was on the Earth. In order to be legal on the Earth a spirit being must live in a body that is made out of dirt. You see, the 14 verse of Hebrews the 2nd chapter, “Far as much then as much as the children are partakers of flesh and blood. He also himself took part in the same.” You see, Jesus had to have a body in order to be legal on the Earth. He wanted to legally take away sin as a man while living in a body; a physical body Christ with us.

BE THE FIRST TO KNOW WHEN NEW POSTS ARE MADE

[Form id=”10″]

You can see in Hebrews the 10th chapter that in the 4th verse, the scripture reveals that God prepared Jesus Christ a body so that Jesus Christ could do what God wanted done in the Earth. God was not satisfied with sins being covered. The Lord came to take away sin. Hebrews 10:4, the 4th verse says, “for it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sin, wherefore when He cometh into the world He said, sacrifices and offerings thou wouldest not but a body had thou prepared me.” You see, the Lord prepared Jesus Christ a body so that he could be legal and take away sin and thereby destroy the devil and reduce him to nothingness. And take away his power and his function so that restoration would be impossible.

And that’s what Jesus Christ came to do, to do destroy the works of the devil and he destroyed him that had the power of darkness. So, you see the 6th verse says, “In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sins thou hath had no pleasure then said I, low I come in the volume of the book it is written of me to do thy will oh God. So Jesus Christ had to live in a physical body so that he could legally do the will of God, which was to take away sin and that’s what he did. And Jesus through death he destroyed the devil.

Today I’m talking about what I see, when I see the blood. What do I think about when I see the blood? I think about what the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus meant to us. What is the benefit that accrues to us because of his death, burial, and resurrection? When I see the blood, I have the assurance that Jesus Christ took the sins of the whole world completely. You see, when Jesus said, “It is finished.” that word that he used, that Greek word that means it is finished is a commercial word. It means all the debt is paid.

So Jesus Christ paid off all of our past sins, present sins, and future sins. When I see the blood, I see that through that blood we have the imputation of the righteousness of Jesus. Just how righteous are we who have accepted what God has done for us through Jesus Christ? We are as righteous as God is righteous. Human beings could never accomplish that kind of righteousness. But through Jesus Christ, we became the righteousness of God. We can come into the presence of God without any sense of condemnation. That is the power of the blood. That is the answer.

No religion, no philosophy, nor ritual – The blood is the answer. The blood flowed like a river in the old testament. And those bloods pointed to the reality of the blood of Jesus Christ. So when I see the blood, I see the sins completely paid off and righteousness manifested. And I worship God for this great blessing. He has declared us righteous and he is just in declaring us righteous. So when I see the blood, I see righteousness imputed and I see that all the sins of the whole world have been paid off by our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Donald FranklinThen when I see the blood of Jesus, I see the disarmament of the devil. Jesus Christ has completely disarmed the devil. The scripture says, in Hebrews 2:14

14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;.

You see Jesus Christ completely disarmed the devil. The devil is a defeated enemy. Of course he’s going around like a lion, but he is bluffing. Fear is the means of the devil. But since we know the truth, we will not be a slave. Jesus Christ has overcome the devil in every corner of our lives. So, there’s no need to be afraid of any part of the curse. There’s no need to be a part of the broken law nor Satan. The blood disarmed the devil and took away what he was using to legally control our lives. We are free from fear and free from the control of the enemy.

Then when I see the blood, I say that the blood is the annulment of the law. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us Free of the law of sin and death. Roman 8:2. The law asks me to work and through work I could never make myself righteous; but the blood annulled the power of the law. And the law has been annulled since Calvary. Now the law is not a policeman. The law of sin and death was that law of the Old Testament. That law was right and holy and good and made and given by God.

Hebrews 7:12 says,

12For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

When Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, he presented himself to the father and Jesus declared that Jesus Christ is a priest after the Melchizadek order. This order of priesthood required a change also of the law. And the law of the spirit in life after Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. When I look at the law of life in Christ Jesus, I look as though I am looking into a mirror. I look at the glory of God in the face of Jesus, I look at what God made us in Christ Jesus, I look at what God has done for us through Christ Jesus. I’m changed from glory to glory.

I don’t change myself, but I am changed from glory to glory. Even as by the spirit of God. The spirit of God changes us while we behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. I thank God and I say “Thank you that I am free from the fear of the law.” And then when I look and I see the blood of Jesus I say, no human works are required for salvation, only believe. The scripture says, in Colossians 3:3.

3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

So, Ephesians 4:8-10 says,

8Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

With Christ in us, the motion of Jesus Christ himself flows in our body while we are worshiping the living God. So I thank God, for this is the freedom from sin of the Old Testament, this is the imputation of the righteousness of Jesus, this is deliverance from the fear of Satan, and this is freedom from the law of the old testament, and this is freedom from human works.

What has God done for us?

  • God has given to us right standing with himself free of charge. We enjoy the glory of God.
  • God has given to us sanctification (being able to be set apart from the evil that’s in this world) and he’s given us the fullness of the Holy Spirit free of charge.
  • God has given to us health and healing. He took our infirmities and he carried away all of our diseases.
  • God has given to us the blessing of Abraham; prosperity, abundant supply, and successful living.
  • God has given to us eternal life. Through Jesus Christ he has redeemed us from death and hell. Through Jesus Christ we died together with him and we have been raised up together and we now seeded together with him.

So through Jesus Christ all these blessings belong to us. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ all of our sins have been forgiven completely. Above all things God wants us to prosper, God wants us to be healthy, and God wants us to be wise. Especially since we are walking in the truth of what God has done for us. He has done all of these things for us and he wants us to be wise, and healthy, and prosperous in our spiritual life, family life, business life, and in our physical life and in our social life.

Pastor Donald FranklinEvery day we should camp out in the oasis of what God has given to us through Jesus Christ. Through his sufferings; since God loves us, he needs us. So he can be good to us. When we come to him, something good is bound to happen to us. Because God is a good God and God is a loving God. So we want to know how to access all of His goodness. The goodness of God leads us to turn towards God and His life and His blessings.

The inheritance that belongs to Jesus all belongs to us through believing, trusting, relying on, and depending on His goodness. God loved us so he gave Jesus Christ so that anyone who believes in Him and trusts in Him, and relies on him should not perish but have this life. The life of God in our very being. In addition to having this life, we have assurance of life forever with Him. But Now, this life of God is ours through believing. It takes no human effort to be born again or to be saved or to have salvation  – Only Believe! Our belief is the ONLY thing it takes.

The scriptures are written so that we can believe in Him and believe we have this eternal life. So, God is our good God who decided to be good to us and therefore through Christ Jesus we have access to Him by this one spirit; the spirit of the son of God. God sent forth the spirit of His son into our hearts who believed. That spirit of the son of God makes us sons of God. So, what has God done for us?

Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, all of our sins have been forgiven completely,

– God has given us righteousness, free of charge. We enjoy the goodness and the glory of God.

– God has given to us separation from the darkness and from the evil in this world, free of charge.

– God has given us the fullness of the holy spirit;God has given to us health and healing.

– He took our infirmities and he carried away all of our diseases.

– God has given to us the blessing of Abraham. Through Jesus Christ we are redeemed from the curse of poverty. Now, we have prosperity, abundant supply, and successful living.

– God has given to us eternal life. Jesus Christ redeemed us from death and hell. Through Jesus Christ, all of these blessings belong to us.

Our heavenly father God, wants us to prosper; above all things he wants us to prosper, he wants us to be healthy, and he wants us to be wise. In our spirit life, family life, business life, physical life, and social life. So every day we should camp out at the oasis of what God gives to us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Now what can we do since God is so good to us? Well, the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts.

Romans 5:5 says that

5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Two things that we should do in response to that love that is in us; that’s springing forth out of our hearts.

  1. We should share our life, that’s (little L). – We build relationships with other people. The love of God takes over. That love of God is in us and it springs forth out of our heart to make us channels of blessings to other people. Then we should
  2. Share life, (capital L) Eternal life. People don’t have to perish. If you can use anything… that’s what we can say to the Lord. “Lord, if you can use anything, you can use me.” So share your life by building relationships with other people. Then the love of God that’s in us, it takes over. And then share eternal life, capital L. Eternal life. People DO not have to perish because you are in the Earth and the love of God is in you and me.

Is it really more blessed to give? Acts 20:35,

35I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Giving activates receiving, and we should expect a return when we give. So I plan to talk to you and help you understand the grace of giving and receiving. You know, the grace of God is the ability of God on a man to complete a task. And God has set forth a principle in the earth called giving and receiving. Sowing and reaping. God’s plan to bring increase into our lives involves two principles.

  1. Giving in obedience to the spirit of love and
  2. Reaping; receiving a harvest.

Pastor Donald Franklin

Genesis 8:22 says,

22While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

God believes in the grace of giving and receiving. God functions by His own laws that he’s made available for us to function in. God gives because of His love. God gives His very best; God gives for the benefit of others, and God gives expecting a return.  We are children of God. God has set that we function in the spirit of love and that we increase in our lives. God has promised to increase us more and more, us and our children. However, He expects us to walk in love and walk by faith.

John 3:16 says,

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Before Jesus gave his life on the cross, he revealed that he expected a return. You see John 12:23 verse,

23And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

In the new testament, we see the return that God received from giving of his son. Hebrews 2:9 says,

9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

So Jesus Christ was planted and he brought forth much fruit. That scripture in that 10th verse says, ‘For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory.’ So, you can see that God believes in sowing and in reaping and we should expect return when we give. When we compare Luke 6:31-35 with Luke 6:38 then we can see that we should expect a return for our giving.

Although we shouldn’t look to receive from a specific person, the Lord promises a return. Luke 6:31 – 35 verse,

31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

You see in Luke 6:38 God says,

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

You see, God is our source and we expect the return from God and it doesn’t matter who he uses to bring it to us. So although we shouldn’t look to receive from a specific person, the Lord promises a return. So it IS more blessed to give than to receive. Giving activates receiving; and we should expect a return for our giving.

We give led by the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit leads us into this truth about the grace of giving and receiving motivated by love but releasing our faith in the promises of God. He expects us to increase so that we’ll have the wherewithal to complete the task that he has given to us in the earth and working together with him to bring his desire to pass in the earth.
